Fans can cheer at home watching Das Erste and ZDF
Fantastic start to the Olympic year for athletics in Düsseldorf and Berlin: In addition to the ISTAF INDOOR in Berlin, the world’s most popular indoor meeting, there will also be an ISTAF INDOOR in Düsseldorf for the first time in 2021. The spectacular mini-series will start on January 31, 2021 in the ISS DOME in Düsseldorf. Afterwards it moves from Rhine to Spree, where the grand finale will take place on February 5, 2021 in the Berlin Mercedes-Benz Arena. Due to the corona pandemic, fans can only cheer from home this time. Das Erste (31.1. from Düsseldorf starting a 2:35 pm) and ZDF (6.2. from Berlin starting at 9:55 am) will show the highlights of the events as part of their winter sports program. The broadcasters will offer a live stream at sportschau.de (31.1. 12:15pm – 2:45 pm from Düsseldorf) and zdf.de (5.2., 5pm – 7:45pm from Berlin). The “ISTAF INDOOR” series is also very popular internationally: highlights of the events will be shown in around 60 countries.
